How to run several versions of WusikStation on one system
Here is what I have done to get V1,V2,V3,V3beta all working at the same time, and in the
same DLLs folder:
( this is only for the dare-devils who are not afraid to edit the system registry )
Unfortunately the different Wusikstation versions use identical VST-ID which causes certain
VST-hosts to refuse recognizing them
The biggest problem therefore is you need to create new VST-IDs ... :-((
If you have used e.g. V1 in older projects, then you need to keep the VST-ID
original
of V1 ...
So here is a list of VST-IDs I use: (

If you want to change the Wusik Data Folder:
- Run the Registry Editor ( Start Button >> Run >> RegEdit )
- Go to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wusik.com\Wusikstation folder
- Change the DataDirectory to the new folder location
you wish to use
- Go to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\WusikEngine\WusikEngine folder
- Change the DataDirectory to the new folder location
you wish to use
- Close the Registry Editor
IMPORTANT: the 2 the
DataDirectory entries MUST BE IDENTICAL
!!
Before installing a higher version than
V1:
(in this case V1 was already installed)
- Rename Wusikstation.dll to Wusikstation1.dll
- Rename Wusikstation.ini to Wusikstation1.ini
- In Wusikstation1.ini , rename Product
DLL name to Wusikstation1
- Rename Wusikstation Multi-Out.dll to Wusikstation1
Multi-Out.dll
- Rename Wusikstation Multi-Out.ini to Wusikstation1
Multi-Out.ini
- In Wusikstation1 Multi-Out.ini , rename Product
DLL name to Wusikstation1 Multi-Out
- ----
- Run the Registry Editor ( Start Button >> Run >> RegEdit )
- Go to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\WusikEngine folder
- Rename the folder WusikStation to WusikStation1 (
use F2 key )
- Rename the folder Wusikstation Multi-Out to Wusikstation1
Multi-Out ( use F2 key )
- Close the Registry Editor
Now install
V2 ... but DO NOT open these new plugins in your Vst-Host yet ...
You can enter the Wusik Serial number and a new 10-digit VST-ID using the following steps:
- Run the Registry Editor ( Start Button >> Run >> RegEdit )
- Go to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\WusikEngine\WusikStation
folder
- Double-click on the SN key and enter/paste your serial
number
- Double-click on the ID key and enter/paste a new 10-digit
VST-ID
- Go to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\WusikEngine\WusikStation
Multi-Out folder
- Double-click on the SN key and enter/paste your serial
number
- Double-click on the ID key and enter/paste a new
10-digit VST-ID
- Close the Registry Editor
Before installing a higher version than
V2:
(in this case V2 was already
